Posted: Sat, May 6, 2023, 9:37 AM ET (1337 GMT)
A Falcon 9 launched the second pair of O3b mPower satellites for SES April 28. The Falcon 9 lifted off from Cape Canaveral at 6:12 pm EDT (2212 GMT) and deployed the two Boeing-built satellites into medium Earth orbit. The two satellites join the first pair launched in December. SES plans to launch 11 mPower satellites but can start providing service with just six, offering 10 times the throughput of the original O3b constellation.
