Posted: Fri, Oct 21, 2022, 7:51 PM ET (2351 GMT)
A Falcon 9 launched a Eutelsat communications satellite in the early morning hours Oct. 15. The rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40 at 1:22 am EDT (0522 GMT), at the end of a two-hour window because of additional time needed for data reviews. The rocket placed the Hotbird 13F satellite into a supersynchronous transfer orbit 36 minutes after liftoff. The Airbus-built satellite, using the new Eurostar Neo bus, will operate from 13 degrees east in GEO to provide broadcasting services.
