Posted: Sat, Feb 26, 2022, 10:48 AM ET (1548 GMT)
A Cygnus cargo spacecraft is at the International Space Station after a launch Feb. 19. An Antares 230+ rocket lifted off 12:40 pm EST (1740 GMT) from Wallops Island, Virginia, placing Northrop Grumman's Cygnus cargo spacecraft into orbit. The Cygnus arrived at the station and was berthed by the station's robotic arm early Monday. The spacecraft is carrying nearly 3,800 kilograms of cargo for the station on the NG-17 mission, including supplies, station hardware and scientific experiments. Northrop officials said before the launch that they had all the components needed for the next two Antares launches should a Russian invasion of Ukraine interrupt shipments of the rocket's Ukrainian-built first stage and Russian RD-181 engine.
