Soyuz launches Progress cargo spacecraft

A Progress cargo spacecraft is on its way to the International Space Station after a launch Monday night. A Soyuz-2.1a rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 11:25 pm EST (0425 GMT Tuesday) and placed the Progress MS-19 spacecraft into orbit nine minutes later. The Progress, carrying about 2,500 kilograms of cargo, docked with the space station early Thursday.
