Russia launches military satellite

Russia launched a military satellite in the first Russian mission of the year. A Soyuz-2 rocket lifted off at 2 am EST (0700 GMT) Feb. 5 from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia. The rocket carried a military intelligence satellite called Neitron, about which few details have been disclosed. This was the first Russian launch of 2022.
