China launches remote sensing satellite
Posted: Sat, Dec 12, 2020, 9:31 AM ET (1431 GMT) China launched a remote sensing satellite Dec. 5. A Long March 3B carrying the Gaofen-14 satellite launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 10:58 pm EST (0358 GMT Sunday). The rocket placed the satellite into a sun-synchronous orbit, a first for the Long March 3B. Few details about Gaofen-14 have been disclosed, but the use of the Long March 3B and an extended payload fairing suggest it is a large satellite.
