Hayabusa2 makes crater on asteroid

Hayabusa2 crater on Ryugu (JAXA) Japan's Hayabusa2 spacecraft succeeded in making a crater on the surface of the asteroid Ryugu. Images returned by the spacecraft showed that an impactor that it released earlier this month created a crater about 10 meters in diameter. The spacecraft will attempt to touch down in the crater to collect samples as soon as late May.
