InSight detects first Martian quake

InSight lander illustration (NASA) NASA's InSight Mars lander has detected its first Marsquake. Scientists said Tuesday that the French-built seismometer on the lander detected the quake April 6, as well as three other events from mid-March through mid-April that may also be quakes but were not strong enough to meet a detection threshold. The April 6 quake was relatively weak, and scientists weren't able to pinpoint its location and exact strength.
