NASA to rename KSC building after Armstrong

Armstrong O&C Building at KSC (collectSPACE) A major building at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida will be renamed after the first man to set foot on the Moon, NASA announced Monday. The space agency will rename the Operations and Checkout Building at KSC the "Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building" in a ceremony on July 21, a day after the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. The 50-year-old building was used originally to process Apollo spacecraft for launch and is now being used to prepare the first Orion spacecraft for launch late this year.
