SS/Loral 1300 satellite illustration (SS/Loral) Space Systems/Loral has won a contract to build two satellites that will provide broadband communications for Australia. The two satellites for Australia's National Broadband Network (NBN), designated NBN Co. 1A and 1B, will be built by SS/L for launch in 2015.
