STS-119: S6 segment moved from cargo bay (NASA) A solar truss segment is in position to be installed on the International Space Station during a spacewalk scheduled for Thursday. The S6 truss segment was hoisted from the shuttle Discovery's cargo bay on Wednesday by a combination of the shuttle's and station's robotic arms and moved to a "park" position near where it will be attached to the station's starboard truss. The segment will be attached to the truss during an EVA by astronauts Steven Swanson and Richard Arnold scheduled to begin early Thursday afternoon. Also on Thursday, shuttle managers clear the orbiter's thermal protection system, saying a focused inspection of the shuttle's tiles is not needed.
