Progress docks with ISS

Progress spacecraft on approach to ISS (NASA) A Russian Progress supply spacecraft docked with the International Space Station early Saturday, bringing supplied for the station's two-man crew. The Progress M-50 spacecraft (called Progress 15P by NASA) docked with the station's Zvezda module at 1:01 am EDT (0501 GMT) Saturday, three days after a Soyuz rocket launched the spacecraft from Baikonur. The Progress is carrying about 2.5 tons of food, water, propellant, and other supplies for the station and its two-man crew. The Progress will also be used to measure the overall mass of the station, Russian media reported, by measuring the acceleration of the station when the Progress fires its thrusters.
