First HTV-X cargo spacecraft reaches ISS

A Japanese cargo spacecraft arrived at the International Space Station Wednesday. The station’s Canadarm2 robotic arm grappled the HTV-X1 spacecraft at 11:58 am EDT (1558 GMT_, three and a half days after its launch. The spacecraft is the first in a new line of cargo spacecraft with great payload capacity and the ability to perform missions after departing the ISS.
