Electron launches NRO mission
Posted: Sun, Mar 24, 2024, 9:52 AM ET (1352 GMT) Rocket Lab conducted an Electron launch for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) early Thursday. The Electron rocket lifted off at 3:25 am EDT (0725 GMT) from Wallops Island, Virginia, on the NROL-123 mission for the NRO. The NRO did not disclose details about the mission other than it is "putting research missions into space." The launch was the second Electron flight in as many weeks and fourth Electron launch so far this year.
