| Falcon 9 launches Indonesian telecom satellite Posted: Sat, Feb 24, 2024, 9:39 AM ET (1439 GMT) A Falcon 9 launched an Indonesian communications satellite Tuesday. The rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral at 3:11 pm EST (2011 GMT) and placed the Merah Putih 2 satellite into a geostationary transfer orbit. The satellite, built by Thales Alenia Space and previously known as Telkomsat HTS 113BT, will provide C- and Ku-band services from 113 degrees east in GEO for Indonesian operator Telkomsat.
