China launches Earth observation satellite

China launched an Earth observation satellite Sunday. A Long March 4C rocket lifted off at 1:45 pm EDT (1745 GMT) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and placed the Gaofen-12 04 satellite into orbit. The satellite is the latest in a series of high-resolution imaging satellites.
