Biden Administration to retain National Space Council
Posted: Sat, Apr 3, 2021, 10:42 AM ET (1442 GMT)
The Biden administration will retain the National Space Council, at least in some form. The National Security Council said Monday that the administration will move forward to stand up the council, but officials are still hashing out the details. The council will be focused on space-related administration priorities, ranging from climate change to creating norms of behavior in space. Many in the space industry had advocated for the Biden administration to retain the council, citing the benefits the council demonstrated in the Trump administration for interagency coordination of space issues.
