China launches reconnaissance satellites
Posted: Tue, Mar 16, 2021, 8:48 PM ET (0048 GMT) China launched a new group of naval reconnaissance satellites Friday night. A Long March 4C rocket launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 9:20 pm EST (0220 GMT Saturday) and placed fourth group of Yaogan-31 satellites into orbit. The satellites, launched in sets of three, are believed to be used to track naval vessels.
