Relativity Space raises $500 million
Posted: Fri, Nov 27, 2020, 10:58 AM ET (1558 GMT) Small launch vehicle startup Relativity Space has raised $500 million. The company announced Monday it closed the Series D round, led by hedge fund Tiger Global Management and with several other new investors, along with investors from previous rounds. Relativity raised $140 million last fall to take the company through the first launch of Terran 1 rocket in late 2021, and the company said much of that funding was still in the bank. The new funding, company CEO Tim Ellis said, will accelerate a number of long-term initiatives involving development of additive manufacturing technologies.
