ISRO launch of imaging satellite postponed
Posted: Sat, Mar 7, 2020, 10:36 AM ET (1536 GMT)
The Indian space agency ISRO has postponed Thursday's scheduled launch of an Earth observation satellite. ISRO said that "technical reasons" postponed the GSLV launch of the GISAT-1 satellite, but didn't elaborate on those reasons or even say if they involved the rocket or spacecraft. A new launch date will be announced "in due course," ISRO stated. GISAT-1 will provide Earth imagery at a relatively low resolution, but on a continuous basis, from geostationary orbit.
