China launches three smallsats
Posted: Sun, Sep 15, 2019, 8:00 AM ET (1200 GMT) China launched three satellites on a Long March 4B overnight. The rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center at 11:26 p.m. Eastern and placed into orbit the ZY-1 02D Earth resources satellite. It also carried two smallsat secondary payloads, one from a Chinese university and the other from a Chinese company. There was little advance notice of the launch.
