 Glenn center director to retire
Posted: Sun, Sep 15, 2019, 7:58 AM ET (1158 GMT) The director of NASA's Glenn Research Center will retire from NASA at the end of the month. Janet Kavandi, who led the Cleveland-based center since March 2016, didn't give a reason this week for her departure from the agency. Kavandi joined NASA in 1994 as an astronaut and flew on three shuttle missions. Last summer she was considered a candidate to be NASA deputy administrator, but the White House instead nominated Jim Morhard.
