Northrop Grumman completes acquisition of Orbital ATK

Northrop Grumman officially completed its acquisition of Orbital ATK on Wednesday. The deal closed one day after winning approval from the Federal Trade Commission with conditions to ensure competitiveness in the solid rocket motor market. Northrop named Blake Larson, formerly the chief operating officer of Orbital ATK, as the new president of the renamed Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, which now is the fourth business unit of Northrop.
