Falcon 9 launch delayed to at least Monday

SpaceX has delayed the launch of a commercial communications satellite until at least Monday to address an issue with the rocket's payload fairing. SpaceX had planned to launch the Thaicom 6 satellite on a Falcon 9 v1.1 rocket Friday afternoon from Cape Canaveral. Late Thursday, though, the company postponed the launch to no earlier than Monday in order to address an unspecified issue with the rocket, believed to be with its payload fairing. Additional launch opportunities are available later in the week, although a Tuesday launch in precluded because downrange tracking assets are needed for the scheduled launch of an Antares rocket from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport in Virginia.
