Moog acquires Broad Reach Engineering
Posted: Fri, Jan 4, 2013, 6:24 AM ET (1124 GMT) Aerospace component manufacturer Moog announced this week that it has acquired Broad Reach Engineering in its latest effort to expand its space portfolio. Moog will pay $48 million to acquire Colorado-based Broad Reach, including $37 million in cash. Broad Reach, founded in 1997, is known for spacecraft electronics and software as well as supporting ground, launch, and on-orbit operations. The firm made $27 million in the previous 12 months. Moog, based near Buffalo, New York, also acquired the in-space propulsion unit of American Pacific Corporation last year and European satellite equipment manufacturer Bradford Engineering in late 2011.
