The Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) 3, also known as Edoardo Amaldi, docked with the aft port of the Zvezda service module on schedule at 6:31 pm EDT (2231 GMT) Wednesday. The spacecraft docked without incident after a flawless launch last week from French Guiana. The spacecraft carries about 6.6 metric tons of propellant, supplies, and other cargo for the station. ATV-3 will remain docked to the ISS for five months, helping reboost the station.
