Goddard director to leave NASA for industry

The head of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center will leave the agency to become an executive at an aerospace company, the center announced Monday. Goddard director Rob Strain will leave NASA on March 4 after serving as head of the center since August 2008. Strain is leaving the suburban Washington DC center to take the position of chief operating officer of Ball Aerospace in Colorado. NASA has not yet selected a replacement for Strain as Goddard director.
