Ariane launch delayed by strike

Ariane 5 before Arabsat 5C/SES-2 launch (Arianespace) The launch of two communications satellites on an Ariane 5 scheduled for today has been postponed by a strike at Arianespace's French Guiana spaceport, the company announced Tuesday. The Ariane 5 ECA was slated to launch the Arabsat 5C and SES-2 communications satellites late Tuesday, but earlier in the day workers affiliated with Telespazio, the company that operates tracking radars at the Kourou, French Guiana, spaceport, went on strike. Arianespace postponed the launch, with no new launch date set.
