Weather postpones Delta 4 launch
Posted: Fri, Jul 15, 2011, 7:26 AM ET (1126 GMT)
United Launch Alliance (ULA) postponed Friday's scheduled launch of a GPS satellite because of poor weather during launch preparations. The launch, which had been scheduled for 2:45 am EDT (0645 GMT) Friday from Cape Canaveral, is now planned for 2:41 am EDT (0641 GMT) Saturday. The launch was postponed when weather during the day Thursday hindered launch preparations. The launch had already been postponed a day because of a technical issue. The Delta 4 Medium+ 4,2 is carrying the GPS 2F-2 satellite, the second in a series of modernized GPS satellites.
