Posted: Tue, Mar 29, 2011, 7:19 AM ET (1119 GMT)
HTV2 undocks from ISS (NASA) A Japanese cargo spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station on Monday after a two-month stay at the station. The station's robotic arm released the HTV2 spacecraft at 11:46 am EDT (1546 GMT) Monday, several hours after the arm detached the module from the station's Harmony module. The cargo spacecraft, filled with trash, maneuvered away from the station; it will reenter and burn up in the atmosphere over the southern Pacific late Tuesday. The HTV had been docked to the station since late January, when it arrived with about six tons of supplies for the station.
