ISS Soyuz launch rescheduled
Posted: Sat, Mar 19, 2011, 8:54 AM ET (1254 GMT)
The Russian space agency Roskosmos has rescheduled the launch of the next Soyuz mission to the ISS for April 5 after a problem was found with the spacecraft. Roskosmos announced earlier in the week that the launch of Soyuz TMA-21, which had been scheduled for March 30, would be delayed until early April after a problem was detected in the communications system on the spacecraft. The problem was traced to a faulty capacitor, and the communications system has been replaced. Roskosmos announced Friday that the launch is now scheduled for the early morning hours of April 5. The Soyuz will ferry two Russian cosmonauts and one American astronaut to the ISS.
