Two Russian spacewalks spent nearly five hours outside the International Space Station on Wednesday installing new experiments on the station. Dmitry Kondratyev and Oleg Skripochka completed their four-hour, 51-minute spacewalk at 1:21 pm EST (1821 GMT) Wednesday. The two installed a pair of experiments designed to measure radiation emitted during thunderstorms and earthquake precursors. They also retrieved panels mounted outside the station for a materials science experiment and jettisoned a foot restraint. The spacewalk was the second outside the Russian segment of the station in less than a month.
