ILS wins contract for AsiaSat 7

International Launch Services (ILS) announced this will it will launch an AsiaSat communications satellite next year. ILS will launch AsiaSat 7 on a Proton rocket between August and November 2011 under a contract valued at $101 million. The satellite, a Space Systems/Loral 1300-series spacecraft, will replace AsiaSat 3S at 105.5 degrees east in GEO.
