Koronas-Foton spacecraft on Tsiklon-3 (Roskosmos) The launch of a Russian space science satellite was delayed for at least one day Thursday. The Koronas-Foton spacecraft was scheduled to launch Thursday on a Tsiklon-3 rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia, but the launch was scrubbed shortly before the scheduled liftoff time. The launch is now scheduled for Friday, although no reason for what caused Thursday's scrub was announced. The spacecraft, the first Russian scientific satellite developed in several years, is designed to monitor solar activity from Earth orbit.
