Delta 4 classified launch delayed to next year

Delta 4 Heavy before DSP-23 launch (ULA) The launch of a classified satellite on a Delta 4 Heavy scheduled for later this month has been postponed until at least January. The delta 4 Heavy was scheduled to launch on December 16, carrying a classified payload for the National Reconnaissance Office. However, officials announced this week that the launch has been postponed until some time in January, although no reason for the delay has been given. The payload is thought to be an advanced signals intelligence satellite.
