The launch of a satellite radio spacecraft on a Zenit 3SL was scrubbed last night because of a technical issue. The Zenit 3SL was scheduled to lift off at 7:49 pm EDT (2349 GMT) Thursday, but the countdown was stopped about a minute before launch. Sea Launch said in a statement shortly after the scrub that controllers had received "off-nominal data" from its launch support equipment, leading to the launch abort. No new launch date was announced. The Zenit 3SL is carrying the XM-4 satellite for XM Satellite Radio.
