Russia extends term of space agency head

Perminov, Anatoly (Roskosmos) The Russian government has extended the term of the head of the Russian space agency Roskosmos for five years. In a decree signed May 13 and announced May 16th, Russian prime minister Mikhail Fradkov extended the term of office of Anatoly Perminov for five years. Perminov was first appointed head of Roskosmos in March of last year, succeeding long-time leader Yuri Koptev. Perminov previously served as the head of Russia's military space forces.
