Lockheed ties Druyun to EELV investigation

Former Air Force contracting official Darleen Druyun shared proprietary information about Lockheed Martin's EELV bid with top-ranking Boeing officials in the 1990s, Lockheed alleged in a court filing Thursday. In documents filed as part of a Lockheed lawsuit against Boeing, the company claimed that Druyun discussed Lockheed's pricing strategy with Boeing officials, including current CEO Harry Stonecipher, prior to the submission of final bids for the launch vehicle contract. Boeing previously admitted that its employees had access to proprietary Lockheed documents during the EELV bidding process, but denied Thursday any improper contact with Druyun about the contract. Druyun was convicted last month of giving Boeing favorable treatment for years prior to taking a job with the company and was sentenced to nine months in prison, but this is the first evidence to suggest that her efforts extended to include the EELV contract.
