NASA Langley announces reorganization

NASA NASA's Langley Research Center announced last week a reorganization of the field center that will result in a reduction in the number of supervisors. The plan, announced Wednesday, will cut the number of supervisor positions by 20 percent; existing supervisors who lose their positions will be reassigned to science and technical positions at similar pay. Other changes at the center include the closure of 15 of 225 buildings at the Virginia center and the creation of an "incubator institute" that will support efforts to win more business for the center. Langley is the second NASA center, after Marshall, to announce a reorganization in the wake of last month's announcement of a major reorganization of NASA Headquarters.
