ISS illustration (NASA) A check of the International Space Station over the weekend found no evidence for air leaks other than one found in a cable the previous weekend. ISS crewmembers Michael Foale and Alexander Kaleri sealed off the Destiny lab module over the weekend, and on Monday reported no evidence of leaks there or elsewhere in the station. On January 11 the crew reported finding what appeared to be the source of the small air leak: a hose used equalize pressures between panes of the modules large window. MSNBC reported Friday that NASA officials believe that repeated tugging on the hose by astronauts, who used it as a handhold while working in the module. A replacement hose will be sent to the station on a Progress cargo spacecraft scheduled for launch January 29.
