FRESNO, California (FOX26 News) -- A faulty battery is pushing back the launch of an Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base along the central California coast.

United Launch Alliance, the maker of the Atlas V, said in a news release that the delay "allows the team time to replace a faulty battery on the Atlas V booster".

The next launch opportunity will be this Saturday, September 23. No time has been announced.

The Atlas V rocket is being used on a mission known as "NROL-42" for the National Reconnaissance Office.
