Rockets Blast Off From Fort Carson
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Rockets created by interns at the United Launch Alliance blasted off from Fort Carson on Sunday.
The interns have eight weeks to build the rockets and the payloads on board. The biggest rocket stood more than 50 feet tall.
The payloads can be just about anything the teams can dream up.
Students from Roosevelt High School in Los Angeles sent up a variety of plants to study the effects of extreme cold.
