Some future space passengers are having second thoughts about making the voyage after Virgin Galactic’s devastating crash.A Virgin Galactic spaceship crashed in California’s Mojave Desert during a test flight last month. One pilot was killed.It was a tragic loss of life and a huge setback to the space travel industry.According to recent reports, more than 20 people who purchased tickets for Virgin Galactic’s space flights have asked for a refund.Virgin Galactic meant big hopes and big dollars for New Mexico. It’s the main tenant at Spaceport America outside Truth or Consequences, built by millions of tax dollars.Earlier this week, Action 7 News learned spaceport officials believe they’re facing a $1.5 million budget shortfall next year if Virgin doesn’t start flying.
