CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Boeing’s much-anticipated first spaceflight of its Starliner spacecraft with humans onboard, which was scheduled for Monday night, will be delayed until late next week as crews work to replace a malfunctioning valve on the rocket, NASA said Tuesday evening.

In a statement, the space agency said the Atlas V rocket used to launch the capsule would be rolled back to an integration facility so that the valve could be replaced. The new launch date would be no earlier than May 17 at 6:16 p.m.
