Between May 30 and June 1, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will host the 2nd Canadian Lunar Workshop. The virtual only event includes a full program that outlines Canada’s ambitious lunar plans.
Canada’s Moon bound astronaut Jeremy Hansen will speak right after the opening address. The May 30th morning session also includes the CSA detailing their lunar program followed by Dr. Joel Kearns providing an update from NASA. The opening sessions closes out with Space Canada discussing industry’s perspective.
The afternoon sessions are divided into tracks with the first focusing on lunar science and technology and the second track focusing on food production and technology.
On May 31 the program is divided into 4 tracks covering technology, health, food production and science.
Day 3, June 1, has no tracks but rather oral presentations on lunar dust, the lunar gateway followed by a panel discussion moderated by Iain Christie on the opportunities and challenges of the lunar economy. The last session of the day, with a full 2 hours allocated to it, is on the future of lunar exploration at the CSA.
