Inspiration indeed!

The Space Coast gets a front-row seat to SpaceX's Inspiration4 historic launch, which is scheduled for Wednesday night with an all-civilian crew. This will be the first all-private orbital space mission without professional astronauts aboard, and Netflix is documenting this unprecedented space flight.

The five-hour launch window opens at 8:02 p.m. Wednesday and will launch from Launch Complex 39-A at Kennedy Space Center with favorable weather conditions. A backup window opens at 8:05 p.m. EST Thursday.

Launches can be seen from most places in Brevard. Here’s a list of some of the most popular places to watch the launch.

Those opting to watch the launch from the Cape should be aware of possible traffic congestion. Traffic updates will most likely be posted by Brevard County Emergency Management on the Waze smartphone app to keep motorists in the loop, according to Brevard County Communications Director Don Walker.
