In a tweet, Bezos says to "ignore the pinging sound–it’s just from one of the experiments on this flight." But it's hard ignore, creating an atmospheric soundscape accompanying the mannequin's journey.

It's a quick flight, taking 11 minutes in total. Blue Origin, at least at the moment, sees its mission slightly different than its competitor SpaceX. While SpaceX wants to take people to Mars and beyond, Blue Origin is comparable to barnstormers showing off the novelty of airplanes in the early part of the 20th century. Blue Origin will take people into space, let them experience zero gravity, see the Earth like never before, and then take them back.

If it's anything like the mannequin's trip, it'll be quite a voyage.
