Richard Branson was reassuring VIP guests about space travel on his Virgin Galactic line at his annual Necker Island pro-am tennis tournament, the Necker Cup.
The action at what’s been called a “hit-and-giggle fest” kicked off Tuesday, and we hear players on the exclusive island include Björn Borg, Eugenie Bouchard and Kim Clijsters, as well as model Karolína Kurková, who was being cheered on by her husband Archie Drury.
A spy reports that billionaire Branson was “telling guests he is 100 percent going to space with his son,” despite the recent fatal test crash of his SpaceShipTwo in the Mojave. “He was telling everybody he’s still taking reservations to travel. They’re still selling tickets.”
